Garbage Disposal Districts
Garbage Disposal Districts (GDDs) are designated areas within the unincorporated County of Los Angeles where trash collection and disposal services are provided to residents and businesses by a private waste hauler who contracts with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works. GDD services include weekly collection of bulky items and electronic waste, upon request, at no additional charge.

Cart Usage
Using the appropriate cart for your discards helps to conserve landfill space and preserves our environmental resources.
● Carts should be set out on the night before collection, or prior to 7 a.m. on the day of collection.
● Place carts not less than 2-feet apart and away from obstructions to allow for easier collection.
● Carts shall not be set out before 5p.m. on the day before collection, and left out after 8p.m. on the day of collection (Los Angeles County Ordinance 20.72.110)
